Community Supported Agriculture
Community Supported CSA Box Share Program
Community Supported Agriculture, or CSA for short, is the heart of our farm. Besides eating good food and being outdoors all the time, community is one of the main reasons we started farming in the first place. To put it simply, a CSA is a weekly box share program that is mutually beneficial for the farmer and the customer. With the customer (hopefully you!) paying up front at the beginning of the season, the farmer (that's us!) has income flow to start the season on a good footing. Throughout the season, you'll get to reap the rewards, and sometimes the pitfalls, of what we're growing. It's a perfect way to support the revitalization of small and local agriculture, while enjoying the freshest seasonal food possible.
We run an 18-week CSA Box Share which usually starts in late June and ends sometime in October. You'll have the choice between a Full Share (designed to feed 2-4 people) or a Half Share (1-2 people). We offer pick-up on Tuesdays (from 3-6PM) at our farm in Denmark and Wednesdays at Apple Acres in Hiram (3-5PM).
New for 2018: the Market Share
You folks asked and we listened! We‘ve crafted a debit system for those of you who would enjoy some flexibility beyond our CSA Box while still supporting our farm up-front and receiving extra value.
How it works
Purchase one (or more) farm share(s) and shop cash-free at:
Bridgton Farmers’ Market: Saturdays, May 5th - Oct 27th
Lewiston Farmers’ Market: Sundays, May 20th - Oct 21st
Patch Farm Farm Stand: Daily, May 5 - November 1st
Use your farm share debit to buy our veggies, eggs, pork, chicken, seedlings or herbs! We will keep track of your balance - once your farm share debit runs out, you’ll be able to use cash to keep shopping. Farm shares expire at the close of outdoor markets and at the close of the farm stand (see dates listed). Any remaining balance will not carry over to winter markets.
